Chihuahua is one of the smallest dog breeds.It has its name after the Chihuahua state of Mexico.
You can find them in wide varieties of sizes,head shapes,colors and coat lengths.It has a life span of 10-18 years.
They are known to be lively,alert,courageous,devoted and quick.They have color like gold,white,chocolate,cream,black and fawn.

Facts about Chihuahua
Chihuahuas are the smallest breed of dog in the world. Most people won’t dispute this fact about Chihuahuas as they can be as small as just one pound when fully grown!
2. Nobody really knows where these little dogs originated. Some researchers believe Chihuahuas were developed in Egypt over 3000 years ago. Others believe these dogs have descended from the Ancient Techichi dogs of the Toltec civilization who became a symbol of the upper class to the Aztecs. The only known fact about Chihuahuas origins is that sometime in the 19th century, they were discovered in and around Chihuahua, Mexico by American tourists who fell in love with them and brought them home to the US.
3. Chis can be born with either short or long coats. This variation in coat type is a unique fact about Chihuahuas. The short-haired Chi requires little grooming but will need a wardrobe to help protect her from catching chill. The long-haired Chi does need regular brushing to keep her coat free of mats and tangles.
4. Chihuahuas are companion pets. Unlike many breeds who were developed for hunting or herding, the Chihuahua breed was developed solely as a companion animal and does this job very well.
